Sleep Clinic of America can help you get healthier, more restful sleep...

Nearly one-third of all Americans experience sleep problems or sleep disorders at some point in their lives. Untreated sleep disorders can have a profound, intrusive impact on your life - causing painful headaches, weight gain, loss of memory, depression, elevated blood pressure, and excessive sleepiness during the day. Sleep is absolutely essential to a healthy life and without it, serious medical conditions can result.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Sleep studies are absolutely painless. The study involves coming to our sleep clinic which is designed to be comfortable and much like a hotel room. During the study we'll be measuring your sleep stages, breathing, snoring, heart rhythm, oxygen level, and degree of movements or restlessness as you sleep. You will be able to get up and go to the restroom anytime you need to and your technologist will be available throughout the night to monitor your sleep patterns and assist you at any time.

THE DAY OF YOUR SLEEP STUDY

NO caffeinated beverages or energy drinks in the afternoon before your study; NO alcoholic beverages before your study; LIMIT the use of hair products; DO NOT take naps; EAT your dinner before reporting for your study.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU TO YOUR SLEEP STUDY

A pillow from home (optional); Your daily medications; Toiletry items; Pajamas, or shorts and t-shirt; Change of clothing.

AFTER YOUR SLEEP STUDY

After your sleep study is complete, the data will be reviewed and scored by a sleep technologist. After being scored, a report will be sent to your referring physician or to our Board Certified Sleep Physician who will use the results to give a diagnosis and recommended treatment.
